As you can see, I went a little funky meets Mixed Media for today’s card.  This is a medium I really love to play in, but it isn’t for fast card making, LOL.  It took almost 3 hours to create this, but I enjoyed the process.  The flowers and leaves are all cut from Bazzill cardstock.  I love their jewel tones.

I wish you could see the background in real life.  I used Lindy’s Gang Magicals in Glitzy Gold, Steampunk Sepia, Poutine Gold and Ponderosa Pines Olive powders and it shimmers like crazy.

How to Create the Alex Syberia Designs Mysterious Petals Die Cut Card #2

Start by die cutting all the flowers and leaves, Ink blending the light blue and green ones with Distress Oxide Inks in Wilderness and Peacock Feather.

Next, glue all the layers together and then attach them to the olive-green die cut stem.  Use a #10 Sakura white gel pen to add the highlights.

Then, cut a piece of watercolor paper 4″ x 5-1/2″ and spritz with water before adding the Lindy’s Gang Magical powders.  Spritz more to blend the colors and pick the paper up and move it around for full coverage.  Set aside to dry.

Alex Syberia Designs Mysterious Petals Die Cut Card #2 – Putting it Together.

Create a A2 sized white card base, 4-1/4″ x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Next, cut the same olive green as the stem to a card front, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and attach.

Then add foam squares to the backs of the flowers and leaves and attach to the card front.

Finally, Gold Hot Foil the Just Because sentiment set onto black cardstock, cut apart and use one of the sentiments on the card.

While this card is all dark and moody, I call my other card the Katherine Hepburn version, haha.
