Spellbinders Soaring Dragonfly Cards

Hi, crafty friends.  Today, I have 2 Spellbinders Soaring Dragonfly Cards.  I’m creating with the January Small Die of the Month, which has this beautiful large dragonfly and a couple of lovely options for wings.  There is a base layer die, which you can use by itself if you want to cut them from patterned paper or vellum, an outline overlay that I did in gold over vellum, and a third die with 5 sections in each wing.  So, lots of great options.

Affiliate links are used throughout this post at no additional cost to you.  This allows me to keep bringing you content.  I appreciate your support.

As a big lover of dragonflies, I was very excited to see this die set and the wing options as they provide so many opportunities for different styles and themes for card making.  Unfortunately I am in need of a sympathy/support card as well as a uplifting card, so I decided to use this die set for both.

Supplies Used:

Spellbinders Soaring Dragonfly Cards – Instructions.

Start with a white A2 sized card base  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.  Add to that a dark teal card front 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Next, cut a piece of white 4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss with the Faceted Petals Embossing Folder before attaching to the card front.

Then, die cut the dragonfly using 5 colors for the wings.  Attach to the center of the card.

Finally, use the Natures Dance Clear Stamp and Die set to  gold heat emboss a sentiment on white cardstock and attach to the card.   Embellish with Gold Color Essential Gems.

Spellbinders Soaring Dragonfly Cards – with Vellum Overlay

Directions are the same for this card with these changes.

Emboss the gold card front with the Stylized Lattice 3D embossing folder.

Die cut the dragonfly from vellum, and the overlay pieces from gold card stock.

Carefully glue them together hiding the glue behind the gold pieces, as it will show through vellum.

Add to the card front and embellish with the Onyx Color Essential Gems.

The reason I ask for that specific info is the system that tracks the sales only gives us a dollar amount and company name, we do not know who made the sale.
