Cruising Into Halloween with the Spellbinders Boo Mobile

Who says Halloween has to be spooky?  Today I’m sharing an adorable card featuring the Spellbinders Boo Mobile from the August Large Die of the Month Club.  With a smiling little ghost behind the wheel of a pumpkin car, fluttering bat wings, and a textured Spooky Web embossed background, this card is more sweet than scary!  And Batman isn’t the only one with a BatMobile, haha.
The August Large Die of the Month is packed with fun details and layers, making it easy to create a playful Halloween scene that’s sure to bring a smile.  Let’s get started!

How to create the Spellbinders Boo Mobile:

Create the Card Base:

Trim a panel of Teal Topaz Cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and emboss it with the Spooky Web Embossing folder.  Attach it to the front of a white, top-folding A2-sized card base.

Die cut the Boo Mobile:

Using your favorite Halloween-colored cardstock, die cut all of the pieces from the Boo Mobile die set and assemble the pumpkin car.

To add depth and dimension, lightly ink blend the edges of the pumpkin car pieces with Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink before assembling.

Assemble the Card:

Add foam squares to the back of the Boo Mobile and adhere it to the lower center of the card at a slight angle for a playfull look.
Die cut the two sentiment banners and attach them near the top of the card with foam squares so they appear to be floating above the Boo Mobile.

Finish by adding highlights with a #10 Sakura white gel pen to bring the die cuts to life.
