NEW VIDEO Embossing Folders with Cutting Dies – Embossing Folder Magic #8

NEW VIDEO – Something new for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® today — a special new Embossing Folders with Coordinating Dies FLASH SALE

You know how much I love Embossing Folders,  and lately I’ve been having so much fun playing with designs that include coordinating dies.  So, needless to say, this new bundle had me oohing and aahing!

For today’s video, I chose the adorable cupcake folder with dies, so naturally, I’m calling this one Cupcakes and Rainbows, LOL!  I started with a quick ink-blended rainbow background, then I’ll show you how to emboss the die-cut cupcakes before adding some simple Copic coloring for extra interest and dimension.

And, of course, nothing finishes off a colorful birthday card quite like a big honking Happy Birthday sentiment! LOL

Heidi has announced a FLASH SALE – 25% OFF Embossing Folders and Coordinating Dies as part of the  STAMPtember® celebration.

Products used for today’s Embossing Folders with Cutting Dies Video Card:

Rainbow ink-blended cupcake birthday card featuring an embossed cupcake background, dimensional cupcakes, and a large black-and-white Happy Birthday sentiment.

How to Create the Embossing Folders with Cutting Dies Rainbow Card:

Create the Card Base:

Trim a panel of white cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and emboss it with the Cute Cupcakes Embossing Folder.

Place the embossed panel onto a protected work surface and ink-blend a rainbow of colors across it.  Attach the completed panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.

Gently drag a white pigment ink pad across the embossed card to highlight the raised areas.

Create the Cupcakes:

Use the included coordinating dies to cut three cupcake shapes from white cardstock.  Place each die-cut inside the embossing folder, lining it up with the matching cupcake image, and run it through your die-cutting machine to emboss the details.

Color them with Copics markers as shown in the video.

  • Yellow: Y11,Y15,Y19
  • Pink: Rv10,RV13-RV17,RV55
  • Brown: E33
  • Green: YG03,YG17
  • Turquoise: BG11,BG13

Assemble the Card:

Die-cut the Opulent Happy sentiment from black and white cardstock.  Stack and adhere the layers together, then attach the sentiment to the card at a slight angle using foam squares for dimension.

Cut the word Birthday from the Reverse Happy Everything EZ Strips and use a black marker to color the cut edges before attaching under the Happy sentiment.

Use foam squares to add the three colored cupcakes.

Finally, embellish with a few Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for a little extra sparkle and shine.
