Have you ever had a card take an entire day to make? I have, and this one is the latest, haha…
It all started with an idea to create my own background paper. So out came the watercolor paper, pigment powders, and a spritzer. Four sheets later, I finally decided Lilac Waterfall was the winner, then it was off to get groceries while everything dried and the mess waited to be cleaned up.
I managed to get the snowman all die-cut before it was time to make dinner, and that was the end of crafting for the day. Fast forward to the next morning….but wait, there’s F1 qualifying on! So, naturally, I watched that while embossing, distressing, and finally putting the card together — which may have added another hour to the process, haha.
Then came the photos, editing, and writing this blog post, and just like that–an entire day spent on one little card. BUT! I absolutely love how it turned out!
Spellbinders and Frank Garcia have a beautiful new release, and today I’m playing with the Sweet Snowman Die Set and Sparkling Trees Embossing Folder to create this sweet, vintage-inspired Christmas card.

Products Used to create the Vintage Sweet Snowman Christmas Card:
- Sweet Snowman Die Set
- Christmas Blush Sentiments
- Sparkling Trees embossing folder and die set
- Snow Much Fun – July 2026 Small Die of the Month – snowflakes

5 Ways to Add Texture and Vintage Style to Christmas Cards:
In today’s video, I share the complete step-by-step process, including five easy ways to add texture and vintage style to your cards.
I’ll show you how I created the Lilac Waterfall pigment background, added torn and inked edges, used the Sparkling Trees Embossing Folder for extra texture and dimension, and added subtle ink blending to give the Sweet Snowman and embellishments their vintage look.
Finish the card with gold gems and a sentiment Glimmer foiled with Lavender Petal Glimmer Foil.
NOTE: Apparently, the Tonic Website is currently unavailable, which is where the Nuvo Lilac Waterfall Pigment comes from.
I have linked to Lindy’s Magicals Monet All Day, which has a very similar Lavender in it. Sorry about that.

Watch the video below to see the entire card come together from start to finish.
I hope you enjoy it! If you do, I’d greatly appreciate a thumbs up and would love for you to share it with your crafty friends.
