Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Memory Box Stay Cozy Winter Card

And the next STAMPtember® collaboration is MEMORY BOX.  They always have the cutest little snowman, and they’re so fun to color.  For today’s card, I decided to pair the sweet snowman with the adorable penguin.  And since I haven’t made an arch card in at least a week – well, here you go, haha!

Today’s collaboration, STAY COZY, is a Stamp and Die Bundle, perfect for winter celebrations, birthdays, Christmas cards, and more.  The images are nice and large, making them quick and easy to color, and the coordinating dies cut them out beautifully.

Just a quick reminder – the STAMPtember® Collaboration sets are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.  So if this one tickles your fancy, don’t wait too long!

How to Make the Memory Box Stay Cozy Winter Card:

Make the Card Base:

Start by die-cutting two arch panels from white cardstock using the second-largest of the A2 Arch dies.

White heat-emboss the snowflakes from the Stay Cozy stamp set randomly across the top of one arch panel.

Ink-blend the panel with Amethyst and Surf inks to create the crisp winter sky.  Once finished, use a dry cloth to gently buff away any excess ink sitting on top of the embossed snowflakes.

Score the back arch panel about 1″ down from the top.  Add Red Line Tape above the score line and adhere the two panels together to create a freestanding arched card.

Next, use the second and fourth-largest A2 Arch dies to cut two white frames.  Stack and adhere them together, then attach the frame to the card front.

Finally, use one of the leftover inside arch die-cuts with the Stitched Slopes dies to create a snowbank.  Adhere it along the bottom of the card inside the frame.

Create the Critters:

Stamp the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Hammermill 100# white cardstock.  Color with Copic Markers, then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.

Copic Colors Used:

  • Gray:  No, N1
  • Green:  YG23, YG03, YG17
  • Turquoise:  BG11, BG13
  • Yellow:  Y11, Y15
  • Orange:  YR14, YR15
  • Brown:  E31

Assemble the Card:

Use foam squares to attach the snowman and penguin, adding a little dimension to the scene.

Stamp the sentiment using Amethyst and Surf inks, cut it out with the coordinating die, and attach it to the winter sky.

Finish by adding clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the centers of the snowflakes and Crystal Stickles to the pom-pom on the snowman’s hat for a little extra winter sparkle.
