Alex Syberia Designs Floral Splendor Die Cut Cards – Card #1

Start with four panels of watercolor paper cut 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Die cut one with the Floral Splendor Cover Die and the other with the larger of the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set.  Cut the sentiment out of the third piece and the sentiment shadow from a piece of black cardstock 3″ x 4″.  From the 4th piece, use the small 4 flower die from the Floral Splendor Cover Die set and cut out a set of flowers.

Next, lay one piece and the sentiment pieces on a protected work surface.  Spray them with the Distress Oxide Sprays in Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet.  Once dry, overspray with the Distress Spritz in Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers.  The Distress Spritz gives it a beautiful iridescent sheen and highlights the colors.

For the third piece, and the four flowers, spray them with Wilted Violet and Prize Ribbon Seedless Preserves.  Let both pieces dry completely.

Then, glue the two pieces together and then attach to a top folding White A2 sized card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Splatter the card front with gold and white paint.  Attach the sentiment to the black shadow and then use foam squares to attach to the card center.

Finally, embellish the dark blue flowers with Gold Mix Color Essential Gems.

Alex Syberia Designs Floral Splendor Die Cut Cards – Card #2

Card #2 has identical instructions as above with color changes.

Pinks:  Ink the flower die cut with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks in Blush and Peony.  When dry, spray with Distress Spritz in Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber.
For the background panel, spray with Distress Oxide Spray in Mustard Seed and once dry, spray with Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz.
There are no overlay flowers on this card, but you could certainly add them if you wished.

Finally, the flowers are embellished with white pearls.

Grab your favorite colors and give this card a try, it’s messy fun with all the spritzing, LOL

  1. Both cards are gorgeous! I had not thought of combining distress oxide sprays and distress spritz sprays. Look fabulous together Sandi!

    1. Thank you Linda, adding the Spritz Sprays over the distress oxide sprays is a game changer. They go from a dully finish, to a vibrant blingy finish, it’s incredible, give it a try

      1. I will try layering them, I need to get more of the colors of each. I also like the mica sprays too! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. A duo of gorgeous floral showcases, Sandi! The colours…summer swoon sensational. I have neither versions of the sprays you used; after seeing the pretty shimmer you’ve achieved, I may have to do a dive…
