Hi crafty friends. Today I’m participating in a Instagram Hop for the Alex Syberia Designs Anniversary and New Release Blog Hop. My share today is the Alex Syberia Designs Illuminated Night Sky Slimline Card. This card uses four new products from the release, the Illuminated Night Sky Hot Foil Plate and Die Set. The new Slimline Nested Stitched Die set and the Birthday & Wish Die Set. Hidden in the background, the Shiny Diamonds Stencil.
Hop on over to my INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT to start the hop and don’t forget to leave a comment at each stop along the hop for a chance to win one of the many fabulous prizes up for grabs.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
I was on a bit of a pastel kick the week I created this card, so we have soft blues, pinks and yellows today, with shots of Polished Brass Glimmer Foil for the bling.
How to create the Alex Syberia Designs Illuminated Night Sky Slimline Card:
Products used:
- Illuminated Night Sky glimmer foil plates and dies – Alex Syberia Designs
- Birthday and Wish Dies – Alex Syberia Designs
- SLimline Nested Stitched Die Set – Alex Syberia Designs
- Shiny Diamonds Stencil – Alex Syberia Designs
- Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel
Start by creating a Slimline card base out of white cardstock cut at 7 x 8-1/2″, score and fold at 3-1/2″ long ways
Next, die cut the smaller of the two slimline Stitched dies from Waterfall cardstock to create the mat.
Then, cut a white cardfront panel 2-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. Lay the Shiny Diamonds Stencil over this and add Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel through it. When dry, move the clean stencil down and repeat for the bottom section. When dry, attach to the center of the slimline mat.
Finally, glimmer for the disks in Polish Brass foil onto colored cardstock. I used Chamomile, Pink Sand and Waterfall from Spellbinders. Die cut them with the coordianting dies and add them to the card front.
Die cut the Birthday Wish dies in black and pink. Stack them and then attach them to the card front.

Hi Sandi,
I love all your beautiful cards. Is there a place in Canada to buy the products you use? I am finding the postage costs more than the items I desire.
Thank you,
Phyllis
You can order them through Simon Says Stamps in the USA, they have flat rate shipping, takes about 17 days to reach us in Canada, and there are no duties or extra fees
That’s so cute! Love the fun die cuts, perfect colors too! 🙂
thanks Amy
What a gorgeous card! I’m very impressed with all that I see coming from ASD.

Thank you Lori, they really have some fabulous new products, I love working with their stuff
I love this foil set. When they are on a one layer card they look like fireworks. When you use the die set to cut them out it looks like party pinwheels.
Absolutely gorgeous, Sandi!
ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!!!!!!
thank you friend
Sandi, who is the manufacturer of the white paper glaze used on the foliage holiday cards?
there is no white paper glaze on the foliage holiday cards, they are all embossed with the plate. I have used Gina K’s Irridescent Glitz Glitter Gel on quite a few cards recently.
If you are wondering about products I used, I have a thumbprint list at the end of each blog post.
