Hi friends, welcome back.  Today I’m excited to be joining the Alex Syberia Designs YouTube Hop and Giveaway celebrating their NEW RELEASE and One Year Anniversary.  As you know this is another fabulous release and for today’s Card Making Video I’m going to drill down on some new products.  My main focus will be on the Thin Stripes Cover Plate to create some bright and cheery backgrounds for my cards.  There are some additional coordinating products we will touch on too.

Ok, let’s dive into today’s cards created with some of the backgrounds I shared in the video (link below).

I used Bassill cardstock for today’s projects in a variety of colors to create my rainbows.  I love this cardstock for it’s soft pastel shades.  It has a pattern on one side and for today’s cards, I used the flat side.

 

Alex Syberia Designs YouTube Hop and Giveaway Card #1

Products used:

• Cheerful Panda Moments Stamp set and die set
• It’s Your Birthday Hot Foil Plate and Die
• Thin Stripes Cover Plate
• Polished Brass Glimmer Foil

Start by creating the stripes background as show in the video.

Next, trim the piece down to 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ and then matt with a piece of gold glitter card stock 3-3/4″ x 5″

Then, attach to a white A2 sized card base. (4-1/4″ x 11 – score and fold at 5-1/2″).

Next, stamp, color and die cut out the pandas and accessories.  Use Polished Brass Glimmer Foil to create the It’s Your Birthday sentiment.

 

Alex Syberia Designs YouTube Hop and GiveAway Card #2

Products Used:

• Floral Balloon Extravaganza Stamp Set and Die Set
• For Her Sentiments Hot Foil Plate
• For Her coordinating dies
• Thin Stripes Cover Plate
• Polished Brass Foil
• Stay Gold Sequins

Start by creating the card base the same as in Card #1 above this time using a matte gold mat.

Next, stamp the rose image from the Floral Balloon Extravaganza Stamp Set onto vellum with VersaMark Ink and white heat emboss (make 2).  Then cut out with the coordinating die.

Then, use Polish Brass Foil to foil the sentiment using the For Her Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and coordinating die set.

Finally, use foam tape to attach to the card front.

Alex Syberia Designs YouTube Hop and Giveaway Card #3 – the shaker card.

Start by trimming the stripes piece to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

Next, use a circle die to cut a circle in the center.  Flip over the base piece and glue in a piece of clear acrylic to cover the circle, then add foam strips around the circle and the edge of the card front.  Add a tablespoon of your favorite sequins or shaker guts over the clear circle.

Then, attach it to a top folding white A2 card base.

Finally, stamp, color and die cut the pandas.  Black foil the sentiment and attach all of them to the card front.
