I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s YouTube hop will all the fun new products from Altenew. I’m jumping back in today with three cards created with another new product from this release, Bouquet Of Poppies. It has a lovely Stamp set, (HUGE stamp set) and a coordinating stencil and die set. So you can color, you can stencil, you can layer, you have so many options with this set. Check out below for detailed instructions for each card.
For today’s cards I’m using Altenew Inks in Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, from the Tea Party Set. From the Frosted Foliage Set, Silver Sage and Eucalyptus. All the card bases are Hammermill white and all the foiling is done with Gold Foil.
Let’s jump in and get started with creating these pretty cards.
Products Used for Today’s ALTENEW Bouquet of Poppies New Release Cards:
- Stamp Set – Bouquet of Poppies (includes stencils and dies)
- Celebration Sentiments BetterPress Plates and Dies
- A2 Thin Frame Dies
- Petal Harmony Hot Foil Plate
- Tea Party Mini Cubes Inks
- Frosted Foliage Ink Set
- Mini Blending Brushes
- Micro Blending Brush Set
ALTENEW Bouquet of Poppies New Release – Card #1
Starting with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white Hammermill card base, stamp the poppies in black ink.
Next, using the coordinating stencil, fill in the colors using the inks suggested above and the Mini Blending Brushes. I also found some of the Micro Blending Brushes useful in the small tight spots.
Then, use the A2 Thin Frame Dies to die cut out a border. Cut another one from gold. Attach the two card front pieces to a top folding A2 sized white card base. Then inlay the gold frame.
Finally, gold hot foil the sentiments using the Celebration Sentiments BetterPress and Die set onto black card stock. Cut them out and add one to the card.
ALTENEW Bouquet of Poppies New Release – Card #2
Start with a piece of white Hammermill 100# cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and use the Petal Harmony Hot Foil Plate to gold foil the design. Attach this with foam to a side folding A2 sized white card base. (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score and fold at 4-1/4″).
Next, stamp the image onto a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white hammermill panel in black ink. Use the stencils to add the color to the flowers and leaves and then die cut out the panel.
Then, use foam squares to attach the floral panel to the left side of the card front.
Finally, add one of the gold foiled sentiments.
ALTENEW Bouquet of Poppies New Release – Card #3
Start with a piece of white Hammermill 100# cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and use the Petal Harmony Hot Foil Plate to gold foil the design.
NOTE: for this one, I tore off the top and bottom right corners of the foil to create a little distress in the background. Attach this with foam to a side folding A2 sized white card base. (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score and fold at 4-1/4″).
Next, stamp, stencil and die cut the two single poppies and use foam squares to attach them to the left side of the card
Then, add one of the gold foiled sentiments from the Celebration Sentiments and Dies BetterPress Plates.
