Hey card making friends, welcome back. Today I have a NEW RELEASE from Spellbinders. My sweet friend Bibi has designed a new selection of hummingbird products. They are crazy amazing and it was so hard to decide which one to play with first. In the end I chose Bibi’s Delicate Floral Hummingbird mostly for the beautiful background die, it’s so FABULOUS.
There are quite a few different sets in this product line and you can see them all here BIBI’s HUMMINGBIRDS

I had so much fun creating this card. I used watercolor paper and Lindy’s Magicals to create the dreamy watercolor pieces and layers. Once cut out I used small blending brushes to add bits of color to some of the pieces with Distress Oxide Inks.
How to create Bibi’s Delicate Floral Hummingbird Card
Start with a 5 ” x 7″ piece of watercolor paper. Spritz it wet and add Lindy’s Magicals in Rusty Lantern Lime and Lucky Shamrock Green until the entire surface is covered in color
Next, once the piece is dry, use the two large Delicate Floral Hummingbird dies to cut the card front.
Then, die cut the overlay flowers and birds from additional pieces of watercolor paper colored with more of Lindy’s Magical.
Colors used: Sweet Violet, Purple Teal, Tibetan Poppy Teal.
Finally, add color highlights to some of the pieces using small blending brushes and Distress Oxide Inks in:
Black Soot, Peacock Feathers, Villainous Potion and Seedless Preserves.
Adding the Background for Bibi’s Delicate Floral Hummingbird Card:
Start by creating the card base from white cardstock. 7 x 10″, score and fold at 5.
Next, using a larger blending brush, lightly blend Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink around the edges of the card front, then a bit lighter into the center.
Then, glue the art piece over this.
Finally, glue on all the overlays, small flowers etc.
This ended up so pretty, I could not bring myself to attach a sentiment to the front, so it’s on the inside of the card.
