Heartfelt Snowflakes and Distress Oxide Sprays

Today I’m sharing Heartfelt Snowflakes and Distress Oxide Sprays.  When combined, make FABULOUS Christmas cards, and it’s SO EASY.  It’s a emboss resist technique:  Just white heat emboss the snowflakes all over a watercolor paper card front.  Then Spritz the heck out of it with Distress Oxide Sprays and then Distress Spritz to add a beautiful glimmer to the finish.

I had fun with this one, Trying to Win the Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest.  It started with this month’s Embossing Folder Club, the lovely Checkered Argyle, which is quite conservative and lovely.  Then I decided our little Festive Friends needed to be included (Small Die of the Month Club), and after I got his sweater all argyled to match the background, I thought, “Ugly Christmas Sweater.” So I grabbed the reindeer dies from the Large Die of the Month Club, Cozy Toes Slippers.

Today, I’m sharing the Spellbinders Cozy Toes Slippers Card.  This is created with the New October Large Die of the Month Club Kit from Spellbinders.  As today is the 6th, the clubs are open for purchase, and you don’t want to miss this month; they are fabulous!  I started with the Cozy Toes Slippers Dies because it reminded me of my own Christmas as a kid; my mom used to buy us funny slippers.  It was so much fun to see what we got each year, although some of them were kind of hard to walk in, haha
