Ho Ho Ho Die-Cut Rudolph Card Video

Hi, crafty friends; welcome back.  I was cleaning up my studio this morning and putting away the October Spellbinders Club Kits when I decided I really wanted to play with them one more time.  So, today’s card-making video is a Ho Ho Ho Die-Cut Rudolph Card to share with you.  The cuteness level on this card is over-the-top, with the three little reindeer creating the “O” for the Ho Ho Ho – watch today’s videos for detailed instructions to create this card.

Just a heads up – there are a TON of NEW BLACK FRIDAY SALES starting today – check out my PAPER CRAFTING SALES PAGE HERE

Affiliate links are used throughout this post at no additional cost to you.  This allows me to keep bringing you content.  I appreciate your support.

Today’s card uses the Cozy Toes Slippers, the Festive Friends, and the Joyful Candy Canes Embossing folder from the October Clubs.  If you have been to the Spellbinders site, you may have noticed that they are now under New Arrivals for November, so you don’t need to be a club member to purchase them.

The three reindeer do not fit on an A2-sized card, so this is a A7 or 5 x 7″ card.   As promised in the video, here are the cutting measurements.

Also, I call Rudolph’s antlers horns in the video, LOL.  Don’t beat me up for that kay? I was tired, but I really wanted to get this video finished, LOL.

Products used:

Start by die cutting all the reindeer, hat and holly pieces.  Then add highlights and shadows with Distress Oxide Inks in Rustic Wilderness and Gathering Twigs.

Next, place small pieces of scotch tape on the back of the reindeer so you can inlay the eyes and ear pieces.  Using the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue, add the nose and the antlers.

Then, glue on the two holly leaves and 3 red berries on two of the deer, the Santa hat, and holly on Rudolph.

Ho Ho Ho Die-Cut Rudolph Card – making the card.

Start by using a die set to cut out three “H”, three times in three colors, red, green and white.  Glue the first two layers together.

Next, using the Joyful Candy Canes embossing folder, emboss the final three “H” ‘s before gluing them to the stack.

Then, build your card base; and attach the red card front.  Take the black panel and spritz both sides with water before embossing it.  Spritzing with water helps to break down the paper fibers without tearing the paper.  Attach this panel to the card front.

Finally, add foam squares to the back of the reindeer.  Dry fit all the pieces to the card front, and starting with the center reindeer, attach them to the card.  Then, using white glue, attach an “H” to the left of each reindeer.

P.S.: I had one spare, so I glued him inside the card.

  1. So adorable! Love your idea to put scotch tape on the back to hold the eyes. I have always struggled to “piece” the back when there is a tiny opening. What a no brainer! Happy Thanksgiving!
