Hey cardmaking friends. Today’s card share is Colorado Craft Company, Snow Globe Bear. It’s another stamp set from the NEW Kris Lauren’s adorable winter wonderland polar bears release.
I am so loving playing with these sweet stamp sets. The bears and penguins are so fun to color, quick and easy too. For today’s card, I used the stamp set to create a snow globe (that has just been shaken). I made my card into a winter friend card but there are also sentiments in the set to create Christmas Cards as well. I love that they are so versatile.

They are also very quick and easy to color as the bear is already white, you just need to add a bit of shading with a N0 and N1 gray copic marker. Use a dot of R32 and then blend with R30 for his cheeks and he is done.
COPIC MARKER COLORING
The super cute little penguins are also very easy. Color the bottom of the tummy with the NO and N1, then the black parts with N3, N5 and N9. Their little toques were done with B93 and B95 and BG13 and BG15. They are small, so very easy to color.
For the base of the Snow Globe, the brown is done in E40, E43 and #44 and the gold plate is Y11, Y15, YR23, and Y28.
How to create the Colorado Craft Company Snow Globe Bear Card:
Start by white heat embossing the outline of the snow globe onto a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card front in Gina K Turquoise Sea card stock.
Next, place it into a Misti, and stamp the “snow” on the inside of the globe in VersaMark Ink and white heat emboss that.
Then, on a separate piece of Hammermill White cardstock, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, stamp the globe again, the plate a second time, with the word friend, the penguins, the toques and the polar bear all in black copic friendly ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink.
Color with copic markers and then die cut out all the pieces. Fussy cut out the wood base of the snow globe and the plate separately.
Adding the Snowy Background to the Colorado Craft Company Snow Globe Bear Card:
Place the card front into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in black ink at the top and centered over the globe
Next, stamp the snowflakes around it in VersaMark ink and white heat emboss them.
Place the card front onto a protected work surface. Mix some white acrylic paint with water until it’s thin enough to splatter with a paintbrush and splatter the card front.
Finally: Use Bearly art glue to attach the snow at the bottom of the globe. Over that, Glue the wood base and to that, glue the gold plate.
Add the polar bear and penguins using small pieces of foam squares to add a bit of depth to the art piece.
Finally, add a small silver rhinestone to the center of each snowflake and a few in the sky to look like stars.
