Happy Fall Y’all. Wow, where did that summer go? today’s Fall Cupcake Card fits right in with the season and is created with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit. This kit is overflowing with dies this month to create all things fall. Leaves, icing, ghosts, brooms, etc. Couple it with one of the pretty Embossing Folders this month and you have a beautiful card.

On a side note, things may get a bit wiggy around here for the next few days. My main computer died yesterday. just quit!. Right in the middle of STAMPtember – really? I’m in the middle of loading my carbonite backup to my Video Computer, (after 12 hours, I’m at 29%, haha), which I really hate to do as I have always kept that clean and just for doing videos, but at this point, I don’t have much choice. As we all know, backups never load to where things used to be, so it’s just going to be one big hassle and I’m totally bummed about it. I’m taking the little guy into sickbay later this morning, hopefully they can fix it. I know, not a first world problem, but certainly a big inconvenience, haha.
Let’s move on to the card shall we.
How to create the Fall Cupcake Card:
Start by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks: Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock.
Next, place that into the Cascading Leaves & Stripes embossing folder and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.
Then, attach it to a top folding A2 sized white card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).
Fall Cupcake Card – Adding the art pieces:
Next, die cut all the pieces for the cupcake and decorations from cardstock in Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Portobello, Rainforest and Saffron. Add ink detail to these pieces with Distress Oxide Inks in Ground Espresso, Rusty Hinge and evergreen Bough.
Finally, use foam squares to attach all the pieces to the card. Start with the cupcake and then the overlays.
Finally, embellish with Gold Mix Color Essential Gems.
