Friends are Flowers

Hi cardmaking friends and welcome back.  I was digging around in my new stamp bin and came across this Trinity Stamps Friends are Flowers stamp and die set and decided it was time to get some ink on it.

Do you do that?  Get all excited and buy stamps and then unpack them and set them aside and don’t get to them?  I do, and I am going to work hard at giving them some love, so here we go with the first one.

I couldn’t resist this little gnome, he is just too cute.

How to create the Friends are Flowers Card:

I’ll load a PDF for you at the end of this post, but here are the rough and dirty instructions.

Use the Misti to stamp the image in copic friendly ink.

Color the image with copics (listed in the PDF)

Die cut him out with the coordinating dies.

Next, use the Slimline Series Rainbow Builder Dies to cut out the cloud outline.

Use this outline to sponge clouds up the card front using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and a blending brush

Die cut the grass and attach to the bottom of the card front

Place the card front back into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in black ink

Finally, attach the card front to the card then add the gnome and the little butterfly with foam tape.

I’m also entering this in the @simonsayschallenge over on Instagram for the July challenge
