Glimmer Peony Card

Hi card making friends and welcome to the May Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop.  Today I have a Glimmer Peony card to share with you created with the NEW Sketched Peony Blossom foil and die cut set from this month’s Yay You release.

All supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you and product disclosure is below.  As always, I appreciate your support of my Blog and YouTube Channel.

Give Away:

The generous folks at Simon Says Stamp are giving away a $25.00 coupon for every stop along the hop.  Simply leave a comment at each stop along the hop for a chance to win.  Winners will be announced Wed. May 18th on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

The Yay You Release from Simon Says Stamp is live now and you can see all the new products here.  I have also attached thumbnails of the new products at the end of this post.

I absolutely LOVE glimmer foiling so when Simon sent me this Sketched Peony Blossom to work with I was overjoyed.  As you can see, I didn’t stop at just one flower, I had to foil 4 of them.  This was a super fast and easy way to create a HUGE amount of bling on basically a clean and simple card.

How to create the Glimmer Peony Card:

Using Polished Brass Glimmer hot Foil, and the foiling plate, foil the image 4 times onto Hero Arts Mist card stock.

Use the coordinating die to cut out the images.

Next, Die cut the sentiment from matte gold cardstock and the shadow from the Mist cardstock and glue them together before adhering them to the card front with foam squares.

Position the flowers around the sentiment also attaching them with foam squares.

Finally, flip the card over and trim the overhang off from the back.

Embellish with Stay Gold Sequins.

Don’t throw out the cut offs:

Use white glue to attach the cut offs to the inside of the card.  That way you are not wasting any of that glimmer goodness.

Now it’s time to hop along and check out what the rest of the design team has come up with to inspire you.  You came from Jennifer’s site and your next stop is Seeka and if you get lost along the way, here is a list of everyone participating today:

A beautiful card, I like how you took the cutoffs and put them inside the card, a nice finishing touch.
