Hero Arts Birds of Paradise

Hey Stampers, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I have two cards to share created with the Hero Arts Birds of Paradise stamp and die bundle.  This bundle is part of the July My Monthly Hero Release and while it may sell out, it will be restocked.  I also used the Tropical Florals Fancy Dies.  Without a doubt, these are my favorite from this entire collection.  This die set deserves a permanent place in your stash.

The sentiment on both cards is from the Cockatoo Bundle Also from Hero Arts and I shared a card created with that bundle here

I may have taken a little creative license with the colors on these two, but hey, that was the mood I was in yesterday, haha.  It’s fun to mess with colors and see what you come up with.

Hero Arts Birds of Paradise Card #1

Use the Misti to stamp the image onto Hammermill white card stock using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink.

Next, color with Copic Markers and then use the coordinating die to cut out.

Copics Used:

Blues:  BG11, BG13,  Greens:  YG03, YG05, YG67, Yellows:  Y02, Y08, YR04

TO color the leaves, I started with YG03 green at the edges, then BG11 in the middle, with BG13 closest to the center of the leaf.  I blended with BG 11, but did not blend over the green.

Then, use the Tropical Florals Fancy Dies and cut out two large palm leaves from Kiwi green card stock.

Finally, Ink blend the card front with Pool Party Ink and then splatter some Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink before attaching the leaves and then the flowers.

Add the sentiment from the Cockatoo Bundle.

Hero Arts Birds of Paradise Card #2

All the steps for this card are the same as card #1.

Use a Paradise colored card stock for the card base and for cutting out the foliage

Copics Used:
Blues:  BG11, BG13, BG49, Pinks:  RV63, RV55, RV66

Finally, create teal pearls around the background with the Hero Pearls bottle that comes in this months, My Monthly Hero Kit.
