Hero Arts Olive Branch

Hi card making friends thanks so much for stopping in.  Today I’m playing with the beautiful Hero Arts Olive Branch and I created a pretty card to share with you.  This is a beautiful stamp set that just begs to be colored so I grabbed my copic markers and then added a bit of ink blending for the background to really spotlight the art on the card.

The Olive Branch Bundle is part of the May release from Hero Arts.  In addition to this card,  you could decorate the Crock Pots, also new this month.  Stamp a background for the bottle and cork dies, or even turn the bottle into an Olive Oil bottle with the olives on the labels.  I really had so many ideas for this stamp set combining other products in this release.

Creating the Hero Arts Olive Branch Card:

Use a Misti to stamp both images onto Hammermill White cardstock and use Copics to color.

Olives:  YG05, YG97, YG99  Purple Olives:  V12, V15, V17, Leaves: G21, G94, G99

Next, fussy cut them out and set aside while you create the card front.

How to create the card front:

Start by cutting a piece of hammermill card at 4 x 5-1/4.

Then, use a blending brush and blend Forever Green ink around the edges, going deeper into the center at the bottom left corner

Next, place the card front into the Misti and use Intense Black ink to stamp the sentiment into the white space on the right side.

Attach a 4-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Green cardstock to a white card base.

Finally, attach the card front to the card base and then attach the olives using small pieces of foam tape to pop them up

That’s it, super clean and simple but so fun to create

  1. Looks gorgeous Sandi, you’ve captured the colours of olives so well. I love the beautiful ink blend too.

  2. Hi, Sandi – This is one of your best cards since 2022 started, IMO. Love it!!!!!!!! The colors are spot-on! Only one problem: Now I am hungry!
