Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing these Leafy Sprig Mixed Media Cards in the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days Instagram Hop. You can start over on my page here.
GIVE AWAY: Leave a comment at each stop along the hop for a chance to win a $25.00 Gift Card from the generous folks at Simon Says Stamp.
I was in the mood the other day to play with some ink. I really got into it as you will see below, LOL. Sometimes it’s just fun to let loose and make a mess haha. You never know what you will come up with.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
There are different colors and techniques and I have provided a brief description under each card for you.
They are both A2 sized cards, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.
Leafy Sprig Mixed Media Card #1
Start with a piece of watercolor paper and smoosh Pawsitivily saturated inks. I used Lilac and Ocean, drying between each smoosh.
Next, using the Geo Leaf Background stamp and Pawsitivily Saturated Ink in Seafoam, stamp the entire front of the card.
Then, switch to the Old Letter background stamp and Orchid ink, and over stamp.
Finally, die cut the Leafy Sprig leaf 3 times in white and glue down the left side of the card. Die cut the Etched Dragonfly 3 times. Glue together, ink blend Lilac and Ocean ink over them, and then Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen.
Leafy Sprig Mixed Media Card #2
Start with a watercolor card front panel done with Lindy’s Magicals in Red Hot Polker Orange, Ponderosa and Cattail Copper Brown.
Next, die cut the piece with the Tim Holtz Stacked Deckle dies #662694. Attach to a A2 sized white card base with a black front panel.
Then, use the Nested Circles Wafer dies to cut two circles, one in black, one in copper. Offset them and attach to the card front.
Finally, die cut the Leafy Sprig die in black and attach to the left side of the circle. Copper heat emboss the sentiment from the So Sorry stamp and die set onto black cardstock.. Attach across the bottom of the circles.
