More Christmas Card Fun

Hey card makers.  Today I’m sharing More Christmas Card Fun.  My final two cards created with this month’s Spellbinders Club Kits.  These are the NEW BetterPress Club (you need to sign up for this new one as it’s already sold out for the month).  and the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month – which makes super easy clean and simple cards.

I’m going to start of with the Clear Stamp and Die set for this month and how to create these Super Clean and Simple cards.

These are both super simple and easy to create but with two totally different techniques.

More Christmas Card Fun Card #1

Start by heat embossing the main image twice onto Blue Spruce card stock.

Next, die cut out both pieces with the coordinating dies.  One for the outside of the art piece, the second, cutting out the sentiment.

Then, cut a card front 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, emboss with the July Embossing Folder Christmas Wrap Pattern before attaching it to the top of a side folding A2 sized white card base.

Finally, using foam squares, attach the art piece layer and then the sentiment layer.

Embellish with 4 gold poinsettias cut with the July Small Die of the Month Kit from Mirror Gold cardstock.

More Christmas Card Fun Card #2

Place the Betterpress plate into the base and ink it with the Black Betterpress Ink.  Attach the cardstock to the lid, position in place and run it through the Platinum 6 to transfer the ink.

I LOVE, the indented image you get doing this, it’s so very cool.

Next, color with copic markers.  Pinks:  R81, R85 and Green YG03

Finally, attach to a side folding A2 sized white card base.

  1. Gorgeous cards Sandi! I love the look of both of your cards – the richness and drama of the clear stamp card is beautiful and the CAS prettiness of the BP card is lovely!

  2. So very pretty! Love both of them. Which is more fun for you–hot foiling or using the Betterpress? I have not given in to the new one yet….

    1. Thanks Linda, they both kind of have the same steps but with completely different results. The Hot foil comes out with added bling, the Betterpress plate, Debosses ink into the cardstock. It depends on my mood and what I’m making, some cards deserve a pile of glitter bling, some don’t, LOL
