Hey card making friends and welcome back. I have a NEW Card Making Video – Easy Classic Foliage Wreath Card to share with you today. Just trying to squeeze in a few more easy Christmas Cards before they all have to go out in the mail. Today’s card is super easy, just a bit of die cutting, some heat embossing and of course SPLATTER.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
Today’s card is a bit mixed media, a style I really like but don’t often get into for some reason, hopefully a bit more in the coming year as my design team commitments near and end and I get more time to spend on just creating instead of deadlines, LOL. Deadlines are not always conducive to creativity, LOL
Anyway, I was in Winners yesterday picking up some more stuffed babies for Bella our rescue pup. (she LOVES to tear the guts out of them, haha), and they had a huge display of beautiful Christmas boxes. This color combo was on one of those boxes, and I thought to myself, “PERFECT – I’ll do this for tomorrow’s video”, so here we are.
Recipe for the Easy Classic Foliage Wreath Card:
Card Base: 4-1/4″ x 11″, white hammermill, score and fold at 5-1/2
Card front: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Neenah Desert Storm (kraft) – second card front, cut from the same size with the Sizzix Stacked Deckle Dies from Tim Holtz.
Leaves and Sentiment: Matte Gold 2-1/2″ x 8″
Large Leaves: Spellbinders Waterfall cardstock
Smaller Leaves: Simon Says Stamp Mint Cardstock
Sentiment: White cardstock 3″ x 3-1/2″ and Vellum 2″ x 3-1/2″
Adding Artful Elements:
Use Distress Oxide Inks in Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers to add some depth to the colored leaves.
Next, gold heat emboss the edges of the card fronts for a distressed look.
Finally, for the sentiment, cut it once in gold and twice in white. Stack them and then attach to the vellum die cut shadow.

If you do place an order using my affiliate links (and thank you if you do) – please email me with the $$ amount before tax and shipping, and which company it was placed through, along with your mailing address and I’ll send you a hand made card as my thank you. [email protected]
The reason I ask for that specific info is the system that tracks the sales only gives us a dollar amount and company name, we do not know who has placed the order

Great video with lots of very useful tips, Sandi. I can see the ideas from this card used for many occasions. Not a lot of supplies needed, but great impact!
