I have something fun and new to share with you today.  In creating my Easy Mixed Media Watercolor Flower Cards Video, I’m using new watercolors from my sweet friend Bibi Cameron and distributed by Contact Crafts.  I am by no means a watercolor expect, but I do love to dabble in the medium, LOL, and I can tell you – YOU are so going to want to play with these!

What’s new about these watercolors?

Not just the beautiful BOLD new color selection, BUT they come premixed in squeeze bottles.  So no water mess in mixing and getting your colors ready to use, they come that way.    Just squirt and go!  Innovative for sure, and I had a blast with them as you will see in the video.

In today’s card making video I do two styles of cards.  The above, mixed media watercolor cards and

a more controlled, watercolor poppy card.

Both Sets of stamps are from Alex Syberia designs.  The top one, Watercolor Flowers, the other, Cindy Lou’s Poppies and Dies.  I have both sets linked below for you.

Easy Mixed Media Watercolor Flower Cards – details:

 

As I did a video for these cards I’m not going to go into a pile of written detail, but here are the basics.

All images are heat embossed in either black or gold onto watercolor paper

All cards are A2 sized 4-1/4 x 5-1/2

3 mixed media cards also have a watercolor card front, which I share how to create in the video

The poppy card has an detailed die cut background using the Alex Syberia Designs Meadow Magic Cover Plate.

As you can see, I painted a huge amount of flowers and leaves, and with this quick and easy Messy Watercolor technique, it only took a few minutes.
