How to create the Flickering Candlelight Slimline Card:

Cardstock:

  • Card base:  8 x 8-1/4″ score and fold at 4″ – save the cut off as it’s the perfect size for stamping and cutting out the pandas
  • Mat: Spellbinders Waterfall:  3-1/2″ x 7-3/4
  • Art piece or card front:  Hammermill white 3-1/4″ x 7-1/2″
  • Sentiment:  Spellbinders Lilac Blossom:  3 x 4-1/4″ –

Flickering Candlelight Slimline Card – Creating the Base:

Start with the card front and Stencil #1.  Use a small blending brush to add Pinkfresh Sparkling Rose Ink.

Next, use Stencil #2 and Pawsitively Saturated Inks – Ocean.

Then, use Stencil #3 with the Pawsitively Saturated Inks:  Iris

Finally, Stencil #4, blend more Iris Ink through all the design spots that are not over the already Iris candle.  For the Iris Candles, use a #10 White gel pen to add white highlights.

Then, move the stencil down and add the flame to each candle with Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Sunbeam.

Finally, attach to the blue mat, then add Big Mamma Foam tape to the back before attaching to the card base.  Cover the flames with Yellow Stickles.

Adding the Panda’s and Sentiment:

Stamp color and cut out the Panda’s on the scrap of white cardstock.  Panda’s are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink as it’s copic friendly.

Next, Add cheeks to the pandas with R21 shadows on the body with a N0 gray, Color the balloon with R18, R83 and R85 and finally, color the crown with Y11, Y15 and Y19.

Then, use Polished Brass Glimmer Foil to foil the Birthday Wish sentiment and cut it out with the coordinating dies.

Finally, attach the pandas and sentiments with small pieces of foam tape.
