New Card Making Video today – How to use the NEW 3D Emboss and Cut Folders from Spellbinders.  Just released, Spellbinders has two new cut and emboss folders.  The Floral For You that I am sharing in today’s video, and the Mushrooms from Me to You that I have on order.

The Floral For you Folder is 5.5 x 8.5″ with three thin metal cutting dies included.

Insert the dies into the indented lines in the folder, set the cardstock in place and close.  Run through the die cutting machine and it embosses and cuts at the same time.

For a more detailed and amazing impression, lightly mist the BetterPress Cotton cardstock with water before embossing.

This versatile 3D embossing folder can texturize and cut all three images at the same time.  Works with cardstock, patterned paper, vallum and more for stunning textured elements to bring your card making projects to the next level.

In today’s card making video I’m showing you how to use this most versatile 3D embossing Folder.  I use the BetterPress Cotton Paper so you can see how well it works for this technique.  Next, we color the images a couple of different ways, and then we put all the cards and tags together.

How to use the NEW 3D Emboss and Cut Folders – Card #1

Card base:  4-1/4″ x 11, white hammermill, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Waterfall card front – 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Embossed with the Meandering Floral Embossing Folder.

Ink blended with:  Surf, Ocean, Lemonade, Zest, Perfection, Violet and Iris inks.

Art piece:  5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ BetterPress Cotton paper – die cutting all three arched pieces at once.

Gold wax and the Peony Butterfly Wax Seal is colored with the Uchida Deco Color Premium Gold Metallic Marker.  Additional gold thread to embellish.

How to use the NEW 3D Emboss and Cut Folders – Card #2

The instructions for card 2 are the same as card one except larger blending brushes were used across the art piece instead of coloring the images individually.

The Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing folder is used to emboss the card front.

Ink Blended with  Lemonade, Perfection, Surf and Iris inks.

The sentiment is cut in gold and white using the Wonderful Script Sentiments dies, and Gold Essential gems embellish around the sentiment.

How to use the NEW 3D Emboss and Cut Folders – Card #3

Again, the basic instructions are the same as card #1.

The card front is cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″ and embossed with the Floral and Vine Embossing Folder.

Next, the Scallop Labels & Tag Die set was used to cut a gold mat behind the art piece.

The sentiment is cut in gold and white using the Wonderful Script Sentiments dies.
