Hi card making friends.  Today I’m over on the Alex Syberia Designs YouTube Channel with a New Card Making Video – Jingle Bells Christmas Cards.    I’m using the Jingle Bell Joy Die Set and making it even harder, the August Color Challenge from Alex Syberia Designs, LOL. YIKES!…..

It’s always fun to try a color challenge and see what you can come up with, LOL.

Alex Syberia Designs Color Challenge

You will see at the beginning of the video, I dug out some cardstock I thought would work for this challenge, but then I changed my mind, and I made my own cardstock colors with ink pads.

Meadow Magic Cover Die – Alex Syberia Designs

Ink Pads:  Pinkfresh Studios:  Sparkling Rose, Raspberry Bliss, Sweet Mustard, Passion Fruit, Mermaid Cove, Tidal Pond, Sapphire.

Embellishments:  Spellbinders Spectrum AB Color Essentials Gems

Jingle Bells Christmas Cards – Card 1 – Recipe:

Card Base:  Hammermill White, 4-1/4″ x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Card Front:  Hammermill White, 3-3/4 x 5″, embossed with the Meadow Magic Cover Die

Art pieces:  Cut 4 pieces of Hammermill White 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, and use blending brushes to add ink.  Die cut pieces from these.

Sentiment:  Ink blend a small piece of scrap white with the Raspberry Bliss ink, die cut the sentiment from this, and the shadow die from white.

Embellishments:  Spectrum AB Color Essentials Gems

Jingle Bells Christmas Cards – Card #2 Recipe:

Card Base:  Hammermill White 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Card Front:  Spellbinders Teal Topaz 3-3/4″ x 5″, embossed with the Meadow Magic Cover Die

Foliage:  White Glitter Paper

Bells and Holly: – cut from inked cardstock as above.

Sentiment:  scrap of white cardstock, inked in Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss.  Background cut from Teal Topaz

Embellishments:  Spellbinders Spectrum AB Color Essentials Gems – I also used some clear Stickles on the sentiment and bow just to see if I liked it.

      and yes I remember Portland, and I miss Portland so much. But, you have to go where the work is and right now, that’s up here
