New Video More Embossing Folder Fun

Hey card making friends, welcome back.  Today I have a NEW VIDEO More Embossing Folder Fun.  I’m playing with the March embossing folders from Spellbinders and this time, some Distress Oxide Inks for colors.  I stepped way outside my comfort zone with warm colors this month and they have continued over to today’s cards.

Thankfully, I also did the voice over before I got sick.  I keep doing Covid Tests, which are coming back negative.  Facebook friends have suggested perhaps I have RSV and judging by the symptoms, it might be.  Whatever it is, it’s kicking my behind….  Souvenirs you bring home from the hockey game, LOL.  Anyway, I’m sure I will live, enjoy the video and I’ll try and not cough up a lung, LOL.

So, I’m not going to go into great detail on the cards today for a couple of reasons, I’m not feeling well, and I basically explain most of it in the video.

Today’s Color combos are Distress Oxide Inks:  Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade.  For one card, I also bring in Candied Apple for a highlight.

I’m using the March 2023 Embossing Folder of the Month Club – Stylized Calla Lily (shown above), and the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Tiled Motif.  Both are perfect for today’s techniques.

Today’s video starts by me sharing how I like to use Distress Oxide Inks to create watercolor wash backgrounds.  Next, a little ink blending to get a beautiful ombre feel.

Next, once the card fronts are embossed, I share my favorite ink blending techniques and create 5 cards to share with you.

As you will note in the video, I also use the Butterfly Burst Clear Stamp set of the Month, and the Floral Butterfly Small Die of the Month (both for March), to decorate and embellish today’s cards.
