Hi stamping friends and welcome back. Today i’m sharing a New Video – Spellbinders Ornament Glimmer Foil Plate.
In the video I create this Holiday card from start to finish using the Crafter’s Companion Foilpress machine and my Gemini Junior Die cutting machine.
I just recently got this amazing Foilpress machine and have been having a ton of fun learning how to use it. It’s really quite simple and provides FABULOUS results.
For today’s card I’m using the Spellbinders Ornament Glimmer Foil pack.
It comes with the ornament plate and two sets of sentiment plates to foil with shown here in the gold color along with the dies to cut the poinsettia, foliage, and the oval center shown in gray. It’s a beautiful set, and all you need to create today’s card along with some ink and foil.
A note about the foil. The rolls of foil are inexpensive, and have a ton on them so you catch lots of playtime with each roll. You will also see in the video, I use the foil from Crafter’s Companion and Spellbinders for my projects. They are interchangeable so whether you choose to get the Gemini Foil Press, or the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, both brands of foil work in both machines.
As for the Plate/die sets: They also work in both machines and not only do Spellbinders and Crafter’s Companion create plates for these Hot Foil Systems, so do My Favorite Things and Picket Fence and there are more coming in all the time, so there is now quite a selection to choose from.
You can see in the image above just how detailed the dies are for the leaves and poinsettia. It was one of the deciding factors for me in purchasing this set as I can use them on other cards without the foiled ornament also.
This card would be pretty in so very many colors, and I’m looking forward to trying a few more. Changing out the background is also fun.
Here is one in different colors I did for Spellbinders at the beginning of the month in teal and green, with a white poinsettia.
