Peony Bouquet Stenciled Birthday

Hello card making friends and welcome back. Today I have Peony Bouquet Stenciled Birthday cards to share with you.

YIKES, My birthday card stash is extremely low right now! So I decided it was time to break into this lovely Peony Bouquet Stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Hey Bestie release and give it some love.

Both cards fit for a couple of new Simon Says Stamp Challenges up this week too, see below for details and links.

You know I love my Oxide Inks, so I took this opportunity to bust them out again for these two pretty cards.

The cards are only two layers and super simple to create taking about 15 minutes each.

Peony Bouquet Card #1

After securing the stencil over my white card front (4 x 5-1/4) , I started with Mowed Lawn for the flower centers and then Peacock Feathers for the rest of the flower using my Life Changing brushes to add the ink.

Next, I used small pieces of post it note tape to mask off the flowers so I could do the leaves in Forest Moss.

Finally, the sentiment is from Greetings Mix #1 and I used my Mini Misti to stamp the image over the floral pen in black ink.

These cards also work for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for this week which is HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

AND, for the challenge over on the SimonSaysChallenge Instagram Page, and it’s (yep you guessed it), STENCILS – YEAH! and this one runs the entire month of April so you have lots of time to enter.

Peony Bouquet Card #2

I flipped the stencil for the second card and this time I used Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves for the flower with Mowed Lawn for the flower centers and leaves.

The sentiment is die cut with the Simon Happy birthday Script die and the black letters are from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips – Cheeky Love set. I love these printed cards, they make adding sentiments a breeze, and saves me money on not buying all those stamps, LOL.

And finally, for both cards I used the gold circles out of the Simon Says Stamp Smooch Sequins packet for a little bling.
