Picket Fence Studios Soar Butterfly Slimline Card

Hi crafty friends thanks so much for dropping in. Today’s card is Picket Fence Studios Soar Butterfly Slimline Card. This month’s release has 4 new butterfly stencils giving you a huge variety of choice. I chose the Soar Butterfly for it’s small detailed lines allowing me to do a quick and easy ink blending technique with maximum detail.

My sentiment overlay is also from the new release, Sending Love word Die, I love the swirly font of this one don’t you? It also fits perfect on a SLIMLINE CARD.

Details to create the Picket Fence Studios Soar Butterfly Slimline Card.

Cut the card front with the Slim line Nested Rectangles Dies for the pretty stitched edge.

Adhere the stencil to the left side of the piece and use the Life Changing Blending Brushes to add Distress Oxide Ink through and around the outside of the stencil.

Move the stencil to the right and repeat.

Colors Used for Blending:

Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon

TIP – you want to ensure you brush a bit of ink along the outside of the stencil so that it highlights both outside edges

Next, mix a bit of the ink with water and splatter across the card front to add some background noise.

Adhere the card front to the white card base.

Finally, die cut the Sending Love Word Die sentiment from black and attach it to the right side of the card with the fine tip on the Bearly White Glue

Embellishments:

As the background is already splattered, use some clear embellishments. The Picket Fence Studios Gin and Tonic Sequin Mix is the perfect application here. Numerous sizes of beautiful iridescent sequins add to the card and not distract from it.
