Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing two Printmaking Plants cards for the Simon Says Stamp Good Luck Charm Release Blog Hop. There is a ton of inspiration on this hop and don’t forget to leave a comment at each stop for a chance to win a $25.00 gift from Simon. One will be given away for each stop in the hop. Winners will be announced Feb 23 on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.
I’m creating with the new Printmaking Plants stamp set . It’s a two-step stamping set, or layered stamping set which creates the cutest little plants. It stamps out 5 adorable plants all at the same time so you can use them on one card or cut them up and spread them around. I did both to show you the benefits of this set.
Printmaking Plants Cards: Card #1
Use the A2 Masks and the Pawsitively Inks in: Seafoam, Surf, Ocean to blend the background.
Next, cut out the card front with the Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies.
Place the card front into the Misti and stamp the plants in black ink near the bottom of the piece
Add the sentiment at the top from the Greetings Mix 1.
Use the Misti to stamp the plants with the outline stamp onto another 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Hammermill white card.
Stamp the greenery parts with Limelicious and Fairway
Next, color the pots with Copic Markers: YR21, YR15, YR04, YR18.
Cut out the images and color the edges with a black marker.
Add the card front to a top folding A2 card base with Foam Tape.
Finally, add each plant using foam squares to add some dimension.
Card #2
Starts the same as card one, using Surf and Limelicious inks randomly over the card front using the A2 Mask.
Next, place the In the Round Stencil over this and add more ink through the stencil to create the dots.
Cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies and attach to a top folding A2 card base with Foam Tape.
Place the piece into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in black ink.
Place another quarter of a sheet of white cardstock into the Misti and stamp the outline stamp.
Next, stamp the 2nd layer of stamps with: Perfection and Field for the greenery and Seafoam and Surf for the pots.
Finally, cut out the plant pots and add 3 of them to the top of the card.
Embellish both cards with the Rainbow Party Sequins uses the adorable new Triangle Trays. These make putting the extra sequins back in the bag so easy.
And now it’s time to hop and visit the rest of the team for some fabulous Inspiration.

Thank you Pauline, that’s my favorite too.
You’ve done a great job in blending the blue background of card #1 so the colour lightens gradually.
Thank you Merrill. I used the three colors of the Simon Says stamp Pawsitively ink, it makes it really easy to do that

Thanks Dayna, and me too.

Dear Sandi –
You’re a marvel, lady! You answer all the comments. Wow…
I really like the cards you’ve shared today. I like the plants and planters but I also really like your settings / backgrounds. Glad I ordered that confetti set of stencils first thing. I wonder if it’s sold out yet. I should check.
Your work is always first-rate! TFS –
Lori S in PA
aw thanks so much Lori, I haven’t ordered that confetti stencil set yet, but I want too, LOL It’s going to make fabulous backgrounds
both cards are just lovely, Sandi! Love the second one best.
thank you Joy
I especially love the daffodil stenciled card…cutting the stenciled piece and putting it over the embossed background is perfect. Your card made me realize that the “miss you” die is the perfect sentiment for all the family and friend cards that I send out to those that don’t live nearby….then I will add the Birthday, Congrats, etc on the inside!
Thank you Dee, I thought having an embossed background gave a bit more texture to the card and I agree on the Miss You sentiment, it’s perfect for any occasion.
Fabulous cards! Love the printmaking series. Need to add it to my stash.
thank you Lara, it really is a great set and so easy to create with when it stamps all 5 plants at the same time
Your plants cards almost look like real plants! The shading and shadows are realistic! Great job!
aw, thank you Judy
These would be that perfect card to bring with a get well plant. Mom used to always bring a plant when someone was I’ll. She thought it put healthy oxygen in the room. I dont know about that, but I do know these would be very good to cheer one up or for get well cards. So pretty,.
That’s a great idea Carol, I always hate cut flowers because they die so quickly, a plant is such a better idea
Lovely cards!! I love this plant set so much!
Thank you Kristine, me too, haha
Gorgeous cards, Sandi. Such beautiful colors. These cards make you happy.
Thank you Marisela, the do make me happy as I love plants
Loving the ink blended backgrounds so much, and those subtle dots are the perfect addition!
Thank you Karen, I like a little “background noise”
Beautiful cards! I love the color combos and the plants!
