Hey cardmaking friends, hope you had a great day today. Tonight is the Simon Says Stamp NEW RELEASE of their DEAR FRIENDS products, whoo hoo. I was excited to receive some of these new products and I have two cards to share with you created with the Simon Says Stamp Caring Thoughts stamp set, and the Painted Rainbow Background stamp which is VERY COOL.
There is also two huge blog hop on this weekend with tons more inspiration for you and I’ll share more on that later.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
This release has some fabulous new products, lots of stamp sets for coloring. I am over the moon that I got to play with the Caring Thoughts Stamp Set. It has so many adorable critters and great sentiments. I had a blast coloring the images, two of which I’m sharing today, and three more on Saturday. There are also some fun new dies, embellishments, and adorable embossing clothes pegs, to save your pinkies from the heat.
You can check out the ENTIRE RELEASE HERE;
All the images are colored with copic markers and I share which ones under the images.
Simon Says Stamp Caring Thoughts Card 1
Start by using a Misti to stamp the image into white Hammermill cardstock.
Next, color the image and then cut it out with the coordinating dies.
COPICS USED:
Browns: E40, E41, #43, E44. Flower: RV55, Grass: YG03
Then, emboss a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ white card front with the Spun Glass Embossing Folder before attaching it to a A2 sized white card base.
Finally, use the Nested Round Hearts dies to cut out 3 pink layering hearts and attach them to the card front. Then use foam squares to attach the kissing squirrels and the sentiment.
Simon Says Stamp Caring Thoughts Card #2
Start by placing a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock into the Misti. Remove the foam base, and set in the first inside piece of the rainbow. Ink it in Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Lemonade and stamp. Add the second rainbow stamp to the lid of the Misti then remove the first one. Stamp that one in Sprout. Repeat to complete the rainbow using Seamfoam, Bubble Gum and Lilac inks.
Then, attach the card front to a top folding A2 sized white card base. Place it into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in the top right corner.
Finally, stamp the bear in copic friendly ink and color him. Then cut it out with the coordinating die and attach to the left side of the card.
COPICS USED:
Gray T0, T1, T2, T3, T5, Browns: E41, E43, E44, Greens: YG03, Pinks: RV55

Such sweet cards Sandi! Love the fun colors and designs! Cute little critters too! 🙂
Thanks Amy, these little critters are so fun to color
Hi, Sandi – This week has been crazy and has not allowed for much commenting time. Your cards today are exceptionally good. Love the cute critters. I esp like the “I’m here for you” one, although that Spun Glass embossing folder on card #1 makes it a very close contest for me.
Your work is always a delight to see.

p.s. We call them clothespins in this part of N America, as a point of trivia.
Thanks Lori, it’s a really fun stamp set to color.
Up here in this part of North America, they are called clothes pins, LOL
