Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday

Hi card making friends and welcome back.   I have a couple of Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Cards to share with you today created with some new products released for STAMPTEMBER.

Stamptember is in full swing over at Simon Says Stamp.  I am loving all the collaborations that are being released daily, although midnight is to late for this gal to stay up, so I catch them in the early a.m.  Stay tuned for more exciting releases coming this week, maybe a card kit or two from Simon, perhaps!.

Ok, back to Birthday cards.

handmade birthday card with a rainbow of candles created with new card making products from Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Card #1

The new Saleabration product used for this card is this adorable Candle Blowout two die set.  One die cuts the white outline overlay, the second cuts the color behind, so you can stack them and make your candles any color our like.  Cool right?

Start by using the Stitched Rectangle wafer Dies to die cut the card front in white.  Mat it to a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of silver glimmer paper and attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base (4-1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2″.

Next, die cut the white overlay and set aside

Then use the second die to cut out the rainbow of colors for the candles and the yellow flame.

Use the fine tip on the Bearly art glue to layer them and then attach them to the card front using Foam Squares.

Finally, die cut the celebrate sentiment in black and add to the bottom.  Use  the Reverse Sassy Birthday preprinted sentiments for over the candles.

handmade birthday card with rows of colored balloons created with new card making products from Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Card #2

The new Saleabration product on this masculine Birthday card is the “Row of Balloons” die.

Start by cutting a white card front 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

Place the Row of Balloons die at the top and die cut, repeat at the bottom, and then at the center.

NOTE:  the die cuts the top of the balloon all the way out, but leaves just an embedded embossing of the bottom tie piece.

Next, Attach the card front to a top folding A2 Sized white card base.

Then, Die cut the balloons again in 5 different fall colors.  I used cardstock from my stash.

Inlay the balloons into the die cut holes.

Finally, add a couple of preprinted sentiments from the Reverse Sassy Birthday collection (love the sarcasm in this set, haha).

Note – by simply changing out the balloon colors you can also make this a child’s birthday, or a girlfriends birthday.

That’s it for today’s cards.  You can find the entire SALEABRATION RELEASE HERE to check out all the new products released this month.

  1. These are both cute… Love the one w/ the candles, esp the frame of that glittery paper. The colors of the candles are terrific, too. Awesome card!
