Hey crafty friends, yep, me again, such a busy day today, and I have card #5 for you in today’s third post. This is Simon Says Hibiscus Blooms.
I finally got my Making Magic release order and I just had to break open this beautiful Hibiscus Blooms stamp and die set and create with it.
I did this for two reasons, I love coloring flowers, and I’m in a very special Instagram hop supporting a fellow crafter.
You can start the hop on my page @Sandimaciver and there are 40 crafters in the hop, so tons of card inspiration to start of your weekend.
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Hibiscus Blooms Card:
Use a Misti to stamp the image onto Hammermill cardstock and color with copic markers:
Yellows: Y19, Y15, Y11 – highlights with RV21
Pinks: RV69, RV09, RV25, RV13, RV21, RV10, highlight with YG03
Greens: Yg67, YG23, YG03
Next, cut out the image with the coordinating Hibiscus Blooms Dies.
Creating the Background:
Place the card front inside the Simon Says Stamp Lumen Embossing Folder and run it through the die cutting machine
Next, attach it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Use Foam tape to add more dimension.
Finally, add the floral piece to the card front, also with Foam Tape.
Adding the Sentiment:
For the final touches, white heat emboss one of the included sentiments on a scrap of black cardstock.
Die cut the sentiment with the coordinating dies
Finally, attach it over the floral image near the bottom of the card.
Embellish with Simon Says Stamp Stay Gold Sequins.
