Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit

Hello cardmaking friends and welcome back.  Today I have 3 cards I created using the New Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit – GARDEN GREETINGS.

This card kit was loaded with goodies.  A full sized stamp set, a beautiful new embossing folder, a sentiment die, and fabulous pattern paper.  It was really hard to decide what to play with, so I did a bit of everything to share with you.

I also decided to create cards in my three favorite sizes right now, A Slimline Card, A Mini Slimline and the regular A2 sized card.

Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit: – Card #1

I dove in first with the new Blossom Field embossing folder.

Start by blending three shades of Distress Oxide Inks onto the card front.  Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry

Next, dry the ink with your heat tool and then place it inside the Blossom Field Embossing Folder and run it through the die cutting machine.

Use a finger sponge dauber to add Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink over the raised design on the paper.

Using the wreath stamp from the Garden Greetings Stamp set, white heat emboss into a piece of white cardstock.

Blend ink over the entire wreath in Spun Sugar.  Wipe off any access and fussy cut the wreath out

Attach to the card front with Foam Squares

Create the word HELLO with the Pinkfresh Studios Cool Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers across the center of the wreath

Finally white heat emboss the Love you onto a scrap of black.  Trim it out and add it under the Hello.

To Embellish:

I didn’t want to add much to this one, so I made small dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White.

The SLIMLINE Card:

Start by white heat embossing the wreath from the Garden Greeting stamp set in three places up the front of the 3.50 x 8″ Slimline Card front.

Next, ink blend Distress Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch.  Heat dry and wipe off any ink sitting on top of the embossing

Secure the Tonic Slimline Shaker Creator Shaker Pocket on either side and the bottom of the card front.  (didn’t come in the kit, Tonic sent me some and they rock.  I have all 4 sizes linked below for you so you can check them out).

Pour in the Simon Says Stamp Orca Sequins and I added a few Blue Lagoon sequins as well.

Secure the top and attach the card front to the white card base.

Ink blend a piece of white card stock with the Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and use this to cut out the sentiment with a white shadow

Next, die cut the Simon Says Stamp Etched Laurel Leaves in white. (from a previous release and not in the kit).

Finally, Attach them to the left side of the card front with the sentiment as an overlay.

Patterned Paper Mini Slimline Card:

The Paper Rose Forever 6 x 6 pattern paper in this kit is fabulous.  I decided on the white and gray one and cut my card front at 3 x 6

Attach it to the Mini Slimline card base in Simon Says Stamp Smoke Cardstock with the NEW dots Runner

Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black scrap, cutting it out with circle dies before attaching with foam squares

Over that I added a wreath die cut of the Eucalyptus Wreath Die. (from a previous release and not in the kit).

Finally, I was going to add a few embellishments, but I decided not to.  the pattern paper has lots of movement in it.
