Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today’s card share is created with the Simon Says Stamp Jumbled Hearts background stamp which is part of the new HUGS Release. This is a large 6 x 6 rubber background stamp awesome for playing with all kinds of techniques and ink applications. So, I decided to heat emboss the image and have a little play time with my Lindy’s Magical Powders. Now that Christmas is over is time to get back to ink techniques and in general just messing around, haha….Inky fingers make me happy.
I have a video on creating with Lindy’s Magical Powders here and I’ll be doing another one shortly just in case you haven’t played with these awesome powders yet.

Lindys Stamp Gang has a challenge each month over in their facebook group. This month’s Challenge is to use Blue Violet, Red Violet and Olive Green along with Spatter.
So, I used Tibetan Poppy Teal, Sweet Violet Purple Teal and Lucky shamrock Green for today’s cards.
These are super easy cards to make and watching the powders explode is so much fun. Get a bunch of extra watercolor paper cut before you start as once you make the mess and start playing, you won’t want to stop, I can guarantee it.
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Jumbled Hearts Card #1
Start by using the Misti to white heat emboss the Jumbled Hearts stamp onto watercolor paper
Next, lay the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of watercolor paper onto a protected surface and spritz with water.
Then, gently shake on small amounts of the three colors of Lindy’s Magical Powders.
Finally, let them spread, add more pigment with a small brush, or more water as needed until the surface is covered in color then set aside to dry. When dry, splatter with gold paint.
Meanwhile, Die cut the Wild About You Sentiment die three times in black cardstock. Glue them in a stack.
Then, create a white A2 sized card base 4-1/4″ x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2″ and attach the art piece to the front.
Finally, glue the sentiment to the center of the card, adding the three black hearts popped out of the “You”.
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Jumbled Hearts Card #2
Basically, the steps are the same as above, however this one is black heat embossed.
Next, to get the bolder colors, add more of the powder and less water.
Then, add some powder and water to a scrap of the watercolor paper, big enough to cut out the three hearts with the Nested Hearts Dies.
Finally, when cutting the sentiment, also cut the shadow from white cardstock.
The Wild About You Die set is also New in the HUGS release, and I love that little heart instead of the o in the “You”.
