How to create the Simon Says Stamp Mom’s Spring Flowers Card:

Products used for today’s card:

Mom’s Spring Flowers

Fancy Mom sentiment Die

A7 Thin Frames Dies

Sunken Treasure Sequins

Stamp the image in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink onto a 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 piece of watercolor paper.

next, paint with watercolors.  I used my Daniel Smith watercolors for today’s card.

Once the image is dry, paint the background.  I used  a light green and a teal blue blended.

Finishing the Moms Spring Flowers card:

Lay the art piece on a protected surface and splatter with white and gold paint.

Next, die cut the art piece with the A7 Thin Frames, this adds a smooth cut edge to your art piece,  and then attach it to a 4-5/8 x 6-5/8 black mat.

Attach to a side folding 5 x 7 card base.

Cut the Fancy Mom sentiment from gold and two pieces of white cardstock.  Stack them and attach to the bottom right corner.

Finally, embellish with gold sequins from the Sunken Treasure Sequin Mix.

  1. Hi, Sandi –
You’re either progressing really well (and I’m so happy if that is the case) or you are doing more than the doc said to do – Either way, your card is GORGEOUS!! But be sure to take it easy and LET YOURSELF HEAL! Your talent is remarkable and all your devoted fans would love just a post from you with an update or even a retrospective of a few past tableaux that you really liked or have new thoughts about.

Sending you a healing hug –

    1. haha, thanks Lori. I can stamp one handed and I can paint one handed. I can add adhesive one handed, then if I bend way over, I can hold the pieces in both hands to layer the cards together. Unfortunately not many in the past few days have been straight, but I know you all will forgive me. Back to the surgeon’s office on Thursday afternoon to hopefully get my stitches out and (God willing), be able to use my arm just a bit. I hired a cleaning lady because I like a neat house and if I didn’t get one, I knew I was going to vacuum, LOL. Otherwise I’m doing well. I don’t feel the need to sleep all afternoon and I’m sleeping through the night, I have pillows down the center of the bed so that I don’t roll in my sleep – I did that one night, hurt like the dickens……(I used a rude word when it happened, haha). SO all is good and I am behaving (mostly, LOL).
