Simon Says Stamp Picnic Parade Card Kit

HI crafty friends and welcome back.  Today I have two cards to share created with the August Simon Says Stamp Picnic Parade Card Kit.

There are still a few kits left so get yours soon so as to not be disappointed.  My love for this month, the kit has TWO stamp sets and FABULOUS Doodlebug Bar-b-CUTE patterned paper which I used on both of today’s cards.

 

 

Card #1 Simon Says Stamp Picnic Parade Card Kit

Slimline Cards are all the rage right now so I had to create one.

• I used a small piece of the patterned paper across the bottom of my SLIMLINE CARD.
• Above that I flicked in some grass with my Copics.
• Next, I stamped and colored the bar-b-q with my Copics and then cut it out.
• I used my Misti to stamp the sun and his fun shades and smile, and then the sentiment.
• I mounted it to a skinny mat of Sunshine card stock and then a card base in Schoolhouse Red

 

Finally, I used a couple of the Ant stickers from the Doodlebugs picnic parade sticker pack, because who ever has a picnic without ants right?   haha

Card #2 Simon Says Stamp Picnic Parade Card Kit

 

The second card also has that sweet sunshine, this time he is the star of the show (mostly because it’s been raining steady here for 3 weeks and I want to see the sun so bad).

Inspiration came from the patterned paper behind the art piece, LOVE all those happy smiling faces

I tied it all together with Simon’s Audrey Blue and Sunshine card stock to keep it bright and happy.

Finally, for some additional interest, I used the Wonky Rectangles dies to cut out the art piece – or, hey, they could be ant tracks, haha

 

The large 6 x 8 stamp set that comes in the kit, partially shown here is Hello Sunshine.  Full of happy sentiments, smiling suns, clouds, sunglasses, a couple of border stamps.  I see this being a staple in my stamping stash for a long time.

The second and smaller 3 x 4″ stamp set is Summertime BBQ with that fabulous round BBQ and all kinds of coordinating feed and tools and some cute sentiments.  Fun to color and doesn’t take a ton of time to create a card with it.
