Simon Says Stamp Tenta-Cuddles

Hey card making friends, welcome back and hope you are having a great Sunday.  Today I have a Simon Says Stamp Tenta-Cuddles card to share with you.

This adorable  little stamp set came out in June in the Simon Says Stamp Send Happiness Release and it’s been sitting patiently on my “to do” table waiting his turn for some love.

I’m so glad I finally got around to playing with him because he was so fun to color and I got to use lots of techniques to create the card.

How to Create the Simon Says Stamp Tenta-Cuddles Card:

I started by making the BIG background Bubble out of one of the watercolor papers I created with the smooshing technique – check out my video here I used three shades of blue watercolor ink from Hero Arts to achieve this background.

Next,  use the second largest of the Simon Says Stamp Circle Thin Frames dies to cut out the half bubble.

Finally,  secure the “In the round” stencil over the piece and use a palette knife to add a thin layer of the Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel.  This stuff is BOSS….I received a little jar of it in the SSS June Card Kit – Bunch of Butterflies and have made quite a few cards with it.  I just ordered a larger jar.  It’s iridized/clear so it goes beautifully over just about any color surface.  You get the look of glitter without the glitter mess, a win/win in my books.

While the Big Bubble is drying,  stamp and color the art pieces with copics.  That little octopus hugging his little clown fish friend is just too adorable.  Also do two of the kelp, and the sea shells.  Fussy cut them out and highlight with a white gel pen.

Before putting my card together, I quickly white heat embossed the two sentiments onto scraps of coordinating Simon Says Stamp card stock in Sunshine and Audrey Blue and trimmed them out.

Finally, start putting the card together, adhering the half bubble first and then stamping the little bubbles up the left side.  I added foam tape to the back of all the art pieces before attaching them.  This adds shadow and depth to the card.
