Simon Says Stamp You Have My Heart

Hi cardmaking friends. Amongst all the crazy mail of the holiday season, parcels are getting a bit delayed but my Simon Says Stamp You Have My Heart stamp set has finally arrived.

It’s part of the Love You release that Simon put out earlier this month and I combined it with their new Splendid Leaves Circle Embossing Folder for a couple of cards to share with you today.

Use the Misti Stamping Platform to stamp the images in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. Color them with Copic Markers and then cut them out.

Copic Markers Used:

Blues BG11, BG13, BG49

Purples: V12, V15, V17

Before placing the card front into the Splendid Leaves Circle Embossing Folder, spritz the paper with water. This will help the fibers break down without tearing the paper and you will get a nice deep embossed image.

As the card front has been wet and then embossed, it’s lumpy, therefore it needs a good strong adhesive, I recommend and use Scor Tape, it’s easy to tear and attach and very strong.

Finally, I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a small piece of the Royal Purple card stock and fussy cut around it. It’s also mounted with foam tape to add a bit of depth.

I embellished the background with a few of the purple jewels from the Pretty pink Posh Party Mix.

Simon Says Stamp You have my heart – Card #2

For the second card I used the same Copic Markers to color the heart shaped stamp from the You Have My Heart stamp set and fussy cut it out.

I again, white heat embossed another sentiment and cut that out as well.

This time I decided on a white on white background as I wanted a lighter feel to the card.

I just love the combination of this lovely stamp set atop that beautiful embossed background don’t you?
