Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing cards created with the NEW Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. This new floral collection has it all. Etched dies, glimmer plates, glimmer sentiments, die cut sentiments, everything you need to make simple beautiful cards. There is even a set of sentiments for inside the card, shown in my last image below.

Similar to the collection she did last year, called Yana’s Blooms, she designed Anemone Blooms with elegant floral card-making in mind. The theme for this collection is Birthday and Friendships and all of the sentiments in this line center around that.

For today’s cards I have decided to go with a pink and gold theme. I like this color combo, it’s soft and subtle and really lets the Glimmer Foil Shine.

How to Create the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection – Card 1

Products used:

Starting with the Anemones Etched Dies, cut one from black and one from Pink Sand cardstock.

Next, use a small blending brush with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and add highlight color to each of the pink flower petals.

Then, Place scotch tape across the back of the black die cut, and start inlaying the pink petals.

Finally, cut the flower centers from gold card stock and inlay them as well.

Gold Glimmer the sentiment from the Hello Friend Anemone Blooms Glimmer Sentiment set and die cut out with the coordinating dies

Putting the Card Together:

Start with a card front in Pink Sand 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ placed inside the Orange Peel Quilt Embossing Folder.

Next, use the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue to attach the florals to the card front, cutting off any overhang

Then, use 1/4″ Tear-iffic Tape to attach the card front to a white top folding A2 sized card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).

Finally, glue on the sentiments and embellish with Gold Smooth Disk Color Essential Sequins

How to Create the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection – Card 2

Products Used:

Start by using Polished Brass Foil to foil the Anemone Blooms and then cut out with the coordinating die

Next, cut out two Sealed Leaf Sprigs from Black cardstock

Then, Glimmer foil the sentiments in Polished Brass and cut out with the coordinating dies

Putting the card together:

Start with a card front in Pink Sand 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ placed inside the Orange Peel Quilt Embossing Folder. Run it through the Die cutting machine.

Then, use 1/4″ Tear-iffic Tape to attach the card front to a white top folding A2 sized card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).

Use foam squares to attach the glimmered floral image to the center of the card and add the sentiments also using foam squares

Finally, Use the fine tip on the Bearly art glue to attach the black leaf sprigs and the gold smooth disk sequins.

Creating the Inside of the Card.

Start by using the cut off florals from card #1 and decorating the inside.

Next, glimmer foil the Inside Card Glimmer Anemone Blooms with the Polished Brass Foil and cut apart.

Attach one to the inside of the card

PRO-TIP – To save time, I glimmer foil all the sentiments at once, trim them down and save them in the plastic sleeve with my dies.
