Spellbinders April Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month

Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I have the Spellbinders April Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month to share with you.

As usual, all the kits for April are fabulous and they coordinate with each other too. As a result, I decided to combine a few elements from the kits for today’s card.

The April kit is called “Curved Glimmer Border & Sentiments.

There are 5 curved border plates and three sentiments in this months kit. I didn’t use the sentiments for this card, but instead, used the letters for the sentiment from the April Small Die of the Month Kit.

You do need a Glimmer Hot Foil Machine to glimmer with these plates. I used Gold foil although the kit came with a very lovely Silver. I decided gold showed up better on the colored card stock I was going to use.

Tips on creating the Spellbinders April Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month Card:

Start by Glimmer Foiling three colors of card stock and attaching them to the front of a side folding A2 white card base.

Next use the letter dies from the Small Die of the Month Club and cut them in mirror gold card stock.

Using the Fine tip on the Bearly Art white glue to attach them down the right side of the card gives you a bit of wiggle room for getting them straight.

Finally, use some of the floral dies from the April Large Die of the Month Kit to die cut flowers and leaves to embellish the card.
