Spellbinders, Fall Thoughtfulness hand made cards

Hey card making friends, welcome back.  Today I’m sharing Shellbinders, Fall Thoughtfulness hand made cards.  As you know, it’s been super busy around here with the New Clubs, STAMPtember, and the anniversary party for Alex Syberia, so I’m going to combine a few things today.  The Clear Stamp and Die set of the Month – Fall Thoughtfulness, and  the Embossing Club – Cascading Leaves and Stripes along with the 3D Embossing Club – Mushroom Harvest.

One of my most favorite color combos for fall is teal, kraft and green so I’m using those today.   I copic colored both images.

Teal:  BG11, BG13, BG49, Brown:  E40, E43, E44, Green:  YG03, YG17, Yellow:  Y11, Y15

The backgrounds are created with the September Embossing Clubs.  On the left we have the 3D Club – Mushroom Harvest and on the right, the regular embossing club – Cascading Leaves and Stripes.  Both are quite lovely and supply great background noise for the art pieces on the cards.

How to create the Fall Thoughtfulness Hand Made Cards Card #1

Start by using a Misti to stamp both the images onto a 4-1/4 ‘ x 5-1/2″ piece of Hammermill white cardstock.

Next, color with copic markers and use the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then, create a A2 sized top folding white card base also from Hammermill cardstock.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.  Cut a piece of Portobello (kraft) cardstock 4-1/4″  x 5-1/2″ and attach as the card front.

Next, cut a piece of white Hammermill cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″, place inside the 3D Embossing Folder Mushroom Harvest and run through the die cutting machine before attaching it to the card front.

Finally, attach the art piece to the center of the card with foam squares.  Use Jute Twine and wrap it around the base of the floral image, tying off with a bow.

Embellish with a white heat embossed sentiment on black and some Teal COlor Essentials Gems.

How to create the Fall Thoughtfulness Hand Made Cards Card #2

Steps for card two are basically the same with these small changes.

First, the white card front is 3-3/4″ x 5″ and embossed with the regular Embossing Club – Cascading Leaves and Stripes.

Then, the Jute twine is wrapped around the base of the card 3 times before attaching the art piece.

Finally, a different sentiment was used.

  1. These are glorious, Sandi! I love the inclusion of the blue (bluey-green) color. It “makes” the cards. I also love that Mushroom Harvest embossing folder. Great cards!!
