Hey card making friends. I have to tell you, it’s been a long time since I have had this much fun with a die set. Say hello to Spellbinders Food Truck Dies. This is the Large Die of the Month Kit and you are going to love it.
When we lived in Portland OR, I used to love meeting Ian downtown for lunch and we would walk over to the food trucks. The great smells, the gorgeous food, and the people watching was pretty fun too, haha.
I have linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post. If you find value in my posts and free PDF downloads, you can support my artistic journey by using the Compensated affiliate links at no cost to you. As always, I appreciate your support.
Spellbinders Food Truck Dies – The Taco Truck.
My favorite of all the food trucks was always the Mexican food. They have the best Mexican Food in the USA, and Ian and I both miss it. I decided to create a Taco truck, as the additional dies in the set include a taco (isn’t it cute).
Start by cutting out two truck bases in Peridot (lime green). I cut two because I made this card into a free standing Taco Truck shaped card.
Next, use silver mirror card stock to cut out all the chrome and various other colors to decorate your food truck.
For this card, use Silver, persimmon, Peridot, Beeswax, Poppy Field. This is also a great project to go dumpster diving in your card scrap and clean that out a bit.
Finally, add a few flowers down the strip on the truck, using the Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set.
Spellbinders Food Truck – Ice Cream Truck
Can you hear that music – far off, slowly rolling down the street towards you on a beautiful warm summer day? I could while I was making this card. haha.
Start by cutting one truck and all the pieces using Waterfall and Teal Topaz cardstock.
Next, dry emboss a white card front with the Party Spots Embossing Folder
Finally, attach it all together and embellish with Teal Opalescent Sequins – Embellish with the PRETTY NEW SEQUINS – SQUEAL- They came out in May, and they are BEAUTIFUL.
Spellbinders Food Truck – Slimline Ice Cream Card:
Ok, I had a bit too much fun with the ice cream cone dies in this Large Die of the Month Kit. So I had to keep playing
Start by die cutting a rainbow of Ice Cream Cones from Spellbinders card stock: Pink Sand, Dahlia, Beeswax, Peridot, Waterfall and for the cones, Portobello.
Next, ink blend the edges with Distress Oxide Inks in: Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain.
Dry emboss the 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 white card front with the NEW JULY EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH – GEOMETRIC STRIPES.
And then, attach to a pink mat and then a white card base.
Finally, use foam squares to attach the cones and the white heat embossed sentiment.
Another Squeal – embellish with more of the NEW Opalescent Sequins.

haha, the other kind of die girlfriend, LOL….and yes, we really miss you guys and Portland too, although I hear downtown is pretty much destroyed, so no going down there anymore
I love all three Sandi – the flowers on the taco truck are so fun and I love that it’s a shaped card. Who doesn’t love an ice cream truck, and then who doesn’t love five ice creams in a row even more! Brilliant and fun use of the new kit!
