Hi card making friends and welcome to the Spellbinders January BLOG HOP. These hops are always so much fun as you get so much inspiration for the monthly Kits from Spellbinders, AND a change to win a gift too – Yeah! (see details below on how to enter).
Today I’m playing with the January Large Die of the Month “A Pocket Full of Love” and I turned it into a SLIMLINE CARD – just to change it up a bit.
This beautiful die set can create a pocket card with a slip out piece for your sentiment. Or you can cut the two main pieces twice, add them to each end of a Slimline card base, and add the filigree heart to the center as I have done today.
Spellbinders January Blog Hop Card:
Start by die cutting the two end pieces from white card stock.
Next, die cut the filigree heart three times and stack it. Then, cut a a solid image heart out of Teal Topaz to back it.
Next die cut the floral image pieces also from Teal Topaz adding some mirror gold highlights as shown.
Mount all three pieces to a Waterfall colored base and then to a white side folding card base.
Add a glimmer foiled sentiment using the January Glimmer of the Month Kit.
Finally, embellish the tips in the die cut end pieces with Color Essentials Gems in Gold.
I also created this card with the Large Die of the Month kit and shared the details last week.
