Hi crafting friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing Spellbinders Love Bug with you. It’s a card I created with this month’s GLIMMER of THE MONTH kit which as an adorable V.W. Bug in it….If you are as old as me, you may remember the Walt Disney Movie, the Love Bug….that’s what my car is named after. I always wanted a V.W. bug in high school. Never got a car until after I graduated and started working, and it wasn’t a bug, LOL. Oh well, live goes on and we can’t always get what we wish for right?

So today’s card is a combination of the Glimmer of the Month Club “Flower Delivery” and Die of the Month Club “Sentiment Ampersand”. There is a cute flower cluster in the glimmer kit this month, but I really liked the one in the Die of the Month, so I changed them out.
Products Used:
- January 2023 Glimmer of the Month Kit “Flower Delivery
- Die of the month Club – Sentiment Ampersand
- Satin Rose Gold Glimmer Foil
- Stylized Trellis Embossing Folder of the Month
- Shimmer Copper Cardstock
- Mirror Gold Cardstock
- Glitter Gold Cardstock
- Black cardstock
How to create the Spellbinders LOVE BUG Card:
Start by glimmer foiling the bug in Satin Rose Gold Glimmer Foil and cutting out with the coordinating die
Next, use the floral dies from the Die of the Month Kit and cut out the florals in shimmer brass, mirror gold and glitter gold cardstock
Then, cut a 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of black cardstock. Place it inside the Stylized Trellis Embossing Folder for this month, and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.
Next, attach the black card front to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Use foam squares to attach the bug and then all the florals on top
Finally, die cut the sentiment from Mirror Gold and add to the bottom of the card.

Thanks Amy, it’s such a sweet glimmer plate
That embossing folder plays so well with the die set and I am besotted with it on darker colors. Love, love, love hot foiling and this is a striking project. You’ve done it again – created a wonderful eye-catching design. Looking forward to the next project…
