Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection

Hi card making friends, I’m back today with a bunch of new cards created with the Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection.  This collection is mostly BetterPress plates (yeah), and a lovely set of Mirrored Arches Labels dies you can use for cutting out sentiments, framing sentiments, and even creating shaped cards.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

This is a beautiful release with a little something for everyone.  Die cut layers, BetterPress Backgrounds, an amazing embossing folder with a die cut, and a sentiment set for Mother’s and Father’s day.

For a couple of the cards I also grabbed one of my favorite floral sets from last year Be Bold Blooms to add a bit of fun color to the cards.

Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection – Card #1

Start by ink blending Distress oxide Ink in Broken China around the outside edge of a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Waterfall cardstock.

Next, place the BetterPress Mirrored Arch Nesting Sprigs Plate into the glimmer machine, and use Polished Brass glimmer foil.  Attach this to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Then, also foil the sentiment onto white cardstock and he largest of the center arches onto mirror gold cardstock.  Cut these out with the Mirrored Arches Label Dies.

Finally, use foam squares to add the sentiment and frame to the center of the card, then decorate with florals cut with the Be Bold Blooms die set.

Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection – Card #2

Start by embossing the border design from the Luxe Backdrop and Border 3D embossing Folder.

PRO-TIP – die cut the edge first and then spritz the white cardstock with water before placing it inside the folder.  You will get a deeper impression.

Next, use the border die to cut a second layer from Mirror Gold cardstock and glue it in behind with just a bit of gold showing.

Then, create a side folding A2 sized white card base.  Add a Waterfall card front and then glue the embossed piece to the top.

Finally, using Polished Brass Foil, foil the Mother’s and Father’s Day Sentiments.  Die cut them with the coordinating die (this one foils and cuts all 4 sentiments at once which is very cool), and attach one to the bottom center of the card.

Embellish with more florals cut with the Be Bold Blooms etched die set.

Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection – Cards #3 & 4

Cards 3 and 4 are both created with the Mirrored Arch Blooms BetterPress Plate.

Card #3 (on the left).

Start by using Black ink to BetterPress the image onto the BetterPress cotton cardstock.

Next, watercolor the image with Karin Markers:  Turquoise #264, 654, Purple:  #247, Pinks:  #220, 375 and Greens:  #071, 281.

Then, use Polished Brass Glimmer Foil to foil the sentiment.  Cut out with the Mirrored Arches Labels Dies and then create a gold frame with the dies as well.  Glue them together and attach to the card center.

Card #4

Start by foiling in Polished Brass Foil onto Waterfall cardstock.

Next, use the same steps as in card #3 to foil the sentiment and cut the frame.

Finally, attach to the card with foam squares.
