Spellbinders | My Favorite December 2024 Clubs

Hey, card-making friends. Today, I have Spellbinders | My Favorite December 2024 Clubs to share with you. Okay, there are only three cards, but they use a lot of the new products, LOL. It’s always fun to combine the clubs and see what you come up with. They all coordinate so well.

Also, sorry for being quiet last week.  On Monday, I had surgery to remove yet another cancer, this time from the lower eyelid of my right eye.  I had to wear a patch over my eye, which was a total pain in the butt, and of course, no card-making because my left eye is my far-sighted eye, and no depth perception, LOL.  I ended up with a very black eye, which is now a lovely brown and purple, so no adventures out for me, LOL.  Anyway, it’s nice to be done with the surgery as it’s taken 8 months to get in due to a last-minute cancelation back in July by the doctor.

So this week, I will bombard you with all my catch-up posts, haha…

The Spellbinders December 2024 Clubs have an interesting mixture of products, and I’m really enjoying playing with them.  There is a little Valentine’s going on with some fun “monsters”, an amazing and beautiful Hello Die cut; for a special friend, and two fabulous embossing Folders….

Products Used today:

Spellbinders | My favorite December 2024 Clubs #1

My MOST favorite this month is the Small Die of the Month – Blooming Hello! – Just WOW

Start by cutting a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ waterfall card front and attaching it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Next, cut a card front 4″ x 4-1/4″, also from Waterfall card stock and attach it to the card base with foam tape.

Then, die-cut all the bits.  The Big H and ellos are all cut from 3 layers of gold and stacked.  Flowers are cut from Lilac Blossom card stock and highlighted with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.  The leaves are cut from Mint and highlighted with Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink.

Adding ink blending to your die-cut pieces will add shadow and depth, giving your card more interest without having to die cut extra pieces.

Finally, attach the H and ello to the card base and then add all the flowers and leaves.  Embellish with Gold Mix Color Essential Gems.

Spellbinders | My favorite December 2024 Clubs #2

Start with a white A2 sized card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Next, cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ Waterfall card front.  Emboss it with the Tiny Hearts Scallop Embossing folder before attaching it to the card base.

Then, cut out all the pieces for the little monster.  Ink blend the main body with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink before glue the rest of the pieces together.  This is the “you’re my favorite Monster” Die Set – and is the Caboodle bonus for this month.  I think they should have given him a name – don’t you?  I think “HAROLD”, – what would you call him?
I gave him a little Toupee by using the die for the teeth; and cutting it in black.

Finally, die cut the sentiment from gold cardstock using the Large Die of the Month set.  Add a die-cut heart

Embellish the little monster with different sizes of white pearls.

Spellbinders | My favorite December 2024 Clubs #3

Start by cutting a piece of Waterfall cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ , embossing it with the Heart Swag Embossing Folder and attaching it to a top-folding white A2-sized card base.

Next, cut out the two monsters from Pink Sand and Purple Mist cardstock.  Ink blend them with Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink before gluing all the pieces together.  This adds depth and shadow to your pieces and gives them more interest.

Then, white heat emboss the sentiment from the Forever Yours Stamp and Die Set and trim it out.

Finally, attach all the pieces to the card front with foam squares to add dimension and embellish with 3 die cut hearts.

My heart die cut is not spellbinders, they are Geometric Builders Hearts from Simon Says Stamp.

The December Clubs are Live at Spellbinders, and they are so fun.

  1. I thought you were a little quiet, perhaps busy with Christmas!
Glad to hear you are on the mend and can actually see to make
these terrific cards in your special colours!!!

  2. Sandi,
So glad you are recovering from surgery! Love your card and all your creations. I’m awaiting my clubs to arrive. Also, I am beginning to follow your blog, The Sour Strawberry. I have just started making sour dough bread.

    1. Thanks so much Vickie, and thanks for Following TSS, I’m working on a new bread post today, hopefully it will be up in the next couple of days. Good luck with your sourdough, it’s so much fun to make

  3. First of all Sandi, so sorry about your eye, I had no idea you were going through that. Big hugs for a speedy recovery and enjoy not needing to go out in the cold! Your cards are absolutely lovely – the first one with the Hello in gold is so gorgeous and then little monster cards so cute!
