Hi card making friends and welcome back. Sorry to be quiet for so many days. I have been working hard to get caught up after being sick for 3 weeks. That cold going around is no joke, don’t catch it, LOL. Today I have two cards to share with you, the Spellbinders New Stencil Club – My Love Grows, and another card with the same color scheme created with the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month – Big Love.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
The Spellbinders NEW Stencil Club started this month (December), with this lovely 4 piece layered stencil that creates this fabulous card front. I LOVE them, they are numbered, they have line up grids in all 4 corners, and they layer perfectly. All you have to do is decide which colors to use. You can sign up for the STENCIL CLUB individually, or you can sign up for the DELUXE CABOODLE which includes it in the kit. (the Deluxe Caboodle at 50% Off and 1 shipping fee, is by far the best deal).
My color combo for today’s cards is teals and pinks. I love this combo as it’s bright and cheery and it’s good for guys as well as gals. I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively saturated Inks in: Seafoam, Ocean, Carnation, Peony and Sprout. These are water-based inks so clean up of the stencils is a breeze.
How to create the Spellbinders New Stencil Club Card:
Start with a white base 4 x 5-1/4″. Starting with stencil 1 and working through to stencil 4, add your colors with blending brushes. I used the mini blending brushes for more control of the color and to get into the small spaces.
Next, cut a card front 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ from Waterfall card stock and attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).
Then, attach the stenciled image to the card front.
Finally, white heat emboss the sentiment using the Clear Stamp and Die Set for December, onto a scrap of pink cardstock. Trim and attach to the center of the card.
How to create Spellbinders New Stencil Club Card #2
Start with a piece of Waterfall cardstock cut 4″ x 5-1/4 and emboss with the December Embossing Club – Tiled Hearts before attaching it to a top folding White A2 sized card base.
Next, stamp the LOVE stamp on a piece of white cardstock, inking it first with the light pink ink, adding the darker pink at the bottom.
Then, stamp the leaves and hearts and die cut all the pieces out with the coordinating dies.
Finally, use small pieces of foam tape to attach all the pieces to the card front, starting with the cut-out LOVE, and then adding the leaves and hearts as overlay.
Stamp the sentiment in pink onto a scrap of white cardstock. Trim and attach to the center of the card.

Hi, Sandi –
Sorry to hear that you had a cold on top of COVID. Poor you! Your cards are GORGEOUS!! I really wish I could join all the SB clubs. I work so many hours as a teacher that I basically collect things all year to play with in the summer but these sure are pretty!!

Thanks Lori, I never tested positive for covid, but my cold turned into bronchitis, so it has taken a bit to get over.
