The fall fun continues with this adorable Owl Be There die set from Spellbinders September Small Die of the Month Club. This little guy is so much fun -and so easy – to die-cut and assemble! The set also includes a tree stump, fall leaves, and sweet little mushrooms to create the scene, along with a moon and stars for decorating the background.
The hardest part of this card was choosing the background color, haha! I went back and forth between dark blue and black, but eventually, black won. I love how it makes all those warm fall colors pop.
Apparently, I’m also a little obsessed with frames this week, LOL! I used rectangle dies to create a double-layered black frame around the card, adding a little extra dimension while keeping the focus on that adorable owl.

Today is also the last day of the Spellbinders fabulous LABOR DAY SALE

Products used for today’s Spellbinders Owl Be There Fall Owl Card:
- Owl Be There – September Small Die of the Month Club
- Stuffed with Gratitude – September Clear Stamp and Die Club

How to Create the Spellbinders Owl Be There Fall Owl Card:
Create the Card Base:
Trim three panels of black cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Adhere one to the front of a top-folding white A2-sized card base.
Use rectangle dies to cut the remaining two into frames. Stack and adhere the frames together, then attach to the card front for a little added dimension.
Die the Owl and Decorations:
Die-cut the owl and all the decorative elements. I cut all the leaves from white cardstock so I could customize them with ink blending.
Cut the owl and stump from Truffle and Fawn Cardstock, and die-cut the moon and stars from Tuscan Cardstock.
Ink Colors: Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks:
Sprout, Fairway, Sunbeam, Honey, Sherbert, Cranberry, Nutmeg, Mocha, and Cappuccino
Ink blend the die-cut pieces as desired, then assemble the owl, tree stump, leaves, and mushrooms.

Assemble the Card:
Begin by attaching the tree stump near the bottom center of the card with foam squares, then add the owl on top.
Arrange the colorful fall leaves around the owl and in the upper right corner of the card. Add the mushrooms around the base of the stump, followed by the crescent moon and stars to fill the night sky.
Finally, stamp and die-cut a sentiment using the Stuffed with Gratitude Stamp and Die Set, and center it at the bottom of the card to finish the design.
